Jonathan is Finance Director at Black Norman Solicitors, with responsibility for Finance and Business Development. With 30 years’ experience in the industry, he brings significant commercial insight, financial expertise and strategic oversight to the firm.
Jonathan joined Black Norman Solicitors in 2009, initially as a Consultant before becoming Practice Manager in 2010. His leadership and financial expertise led to his appointment as Practice and Finance Director soon after. Over 16 years with the firm, he has played a key role in its operational and financial development.
With three decades of experience, Jonathan has developed deep expertise in finance, compliance and risk management within professional services. He also served for two years as a committee member of the Law Society Law Management Section, reflecting his broader involvement in legal practice management at a national level.

Jonathan works closely with Jemma Ball, Sara Keenan, Shoab Panwar and Richard Entwistle, supporting the leadership team in maintaining the firm’s operational and regulatory standards.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys bridge, cigars, golf and whisky – not necessarily in that order, and definitely not all at the same time.
