Head of Commercial Property – Director Designate.

This is an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor with ambition, initiative and the drive to succeed.
You will be tasked with heading and growing an already established and successful Commercial Property Department.
Located in Crosby, Liverpool, this is a full-time office based role, where collaboration, team building and cross marketing will be an essential element of your daily work.
As a Commercial Property Solicitor/Lawyer, the candidate will have a thorough understanding of commercial property law and will be responsible for a range of commercial property matters; including commercial conveyancing, commercial leases, secured lending and development agreements. The candidate will also need to build a strong client relationship with both new and existing clients.

- The candidate will be a qualified solicitor/lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of commercial property experience in a reputable law firm.
- The candidate will also be proficient in the legal aspects relating to commercial property law, including commercial conveyancing, leasing, development agreements, and disposals.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage their workload effectively under pressure.
- The candidate must be self-motivated and have an ability to work both independently and as part of the team.

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

This is a full-time on-site role for a Residential Property Solicitor/Lawyer at BLACK NORMAN SOLICITORS LIMITED, located in Crosby, Liverpool. As a Residential Property Solicitor/Lawyer, the candidate will have a thorough understanding of Residential conveyancing law and will be responsible for a range of property matters; The candidate will also need to build a strong client relationship with both new and existing clients.

Legal Cashier

This is a full-time office-based role in the heart of Crosby Village with parking provided on site. The firm offers a friendly working environment. You will join a cashiering team of 3 in a wider finance team of 5, within a role reporting into the finance manager daily.
Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier is essential, and you must be fully compliant with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules within the team
• Checking AML compliance within the team.
• Assist staff with accounts queries.
• Process daily all financial payments, receipts, and transfers.
• Perform day end balancing procedures.
• Process credit card payments.
• Making bank and cheque payments
• Reconciliation of petty cash payments
• Petty cash balancing - to incorporate identifying and rectifying errors.
• Deposit interest calculations
• Purchase Ledger - coding, input and cheque production.
• Process employees' expenses claims.
• Process invoices and check completion statements
• Liaising with file handling departments regarding accounting transactions
• Assisting the processing of client and office account transactions, with reference to billing
• Reconciliation of disbursement supplier statements as required.
• Liaising with clients and debtors.

Post Completions Clerk

Role Description

This is a full-time (part time and flexible hours considered) on-site role for a Post Completions Clerk at BLACK NORMAN SOLICITORS LIMITED in Liverpool. The Post Completions Clerk will be responsible for handling post-completion matters, ensuring all documentation is processed accurately and efficiently, and liaising with different parties involved in the completion process.

The ideal candidates will have previous experience in post-completion matters, demonstrating a proactive approach, effective prioritisation skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Diarising Key Dates
Efficiently manage critical OS1 and Companies House schedules.
Land Registry Applications
Prepare and submit AP1/FR1 applications to the Land Registry, ensuring all accompanying documents are complete, dated, and signed.
Requisition Management: Address requisitions from the Land Registry promptly and effectively.
Maintain a meticulous system for managing all post-completion tasks.
Client & Lender Communication: Provide timely updates and respond to requests from lenders, brokers, and clients regarding registration progress.
Document Distribution: Send copies of completed registrations and any required documents to clients and lenders.
Risk Management: Promptly alerting fee earners to requisitions and lender requirements.
Follow company procedures once all post-completion matters are resolved.
Additional Tasks: Assist the department with various tasks, including the production of security documents.
