Cohabitation Agreement

If you are living with your partner and aren’t married or in a Civil Partnership, it is a really good idea to make a Cohabitation Agreement. It can help record who is responsible for the payment of household expenditure such as mortgage, utility bills etc. It also can define who owns what at the start of the relationship. Whilst not a formal legal document, should the relationship break down, a properly drafted agreement has great persuasive value to a Court adjudicating on any dispute.
