Jason qualified as a solicitor in 2006 and joined Black Norman in 2018 after spending 10 years as a Commercial Property and Corporate Solicitor with a major High Street practice in Huddersfield and Halifax and a further 2 years at a top 20 law firm in Manchester.
Jason was made a Director of the Firm in 2021 and brings a wealth of experience in all areas of Commercial Real Estate including Sales and Purchase, Finance, Landlord & Tenant, Development and Non-contentious Construction. Jason is also experienced in Corporate work, including Mergers and Acquisitions and Shareholders & Partnership Agreements. Jason’s recent instructions include:
acting in the purchase of a multi-tenanted office block in Leeds for circa £8 million;
acting in the sale of a Central London Retail/Office building for circa £20 million;
acting in the sale of a hotel and tour business for in excess of £4 million;
advising a company on a corporate reconstruction which involved demerging a company to form a trading company and an asset holding company;
advising shareholders in the sale of shares in a company for circa £1 million;
advising numerous developers on financing schemes; estate “set up” and onward sales.
Jason is kept busy when not at work with his two boys; his partners two daughters and his dog! Jason has an outside interest in corporate frauds and political scandals and is a self-confessed geek on the Credit Crunch, a Chelsea supporter, and wanted to be a spy when younger.
